Different types of cellulite

Cellulite can come in three types. The first two are commonly experienced by people but the third type can be very rare. These different types can appear simultaneously in the body of a single person. Overall, these types differ in their appearance. Some may also be more painful and more difficult to handle than the others.

A soft cellulite can be spongy and soft when touched. This type usually appears around the buttocks, thighs and behind the arms. Varicose and spider veins will also appear along with them. As for its appearance, it can be described as very gelatinous and rough. One weird thing about it is that it can change position as the person walks, sits or change his/her lying position. Its appearance will also become more apparent in a lying position than when a person stands.
The second one would be the hard type. This solid type is usually experienced by younger women. Its appearance can be easily compared to an orange’s peel since the dimples and lumps are tightly packed with one another. Unlike the soft type, it will stay on its position when a person moves since the skin is firmly attached to the muscle below. Touching the affected area can also bring pain due to its sensitiveness. Experts advise people to immediately treat this area with different medications. Dealing with them in later stages may be ineffective since the lumps won’t be easily reduced. One of the best ways to treat them is through mesotherapy. In this treatment, the mesoderm will be injected with different drugs and natural additives which will then directly counter act the problem happening in this layer.

The rarest one among the three would be the edematous type. In this type, the lumps may look like a foamy rubber and can be painful when touched. This type is also associated with circulation and fluid problems. It usually occurs on the lower extremities especially on the knees, thighs and legs. People around the age of 20 should be more concerned with them since this is when they usually appear.

Identifying these three types of cellulite is definitely important. These three would require different treatments. Using the wrong treatment will yield no result and will only be a waste of money. For the best results, have it checked up by a doctor. A huge number of people may misdiagnose their condition. A misdiagnosis will result to the wrong treatment which can be a costly mistake.
